The IM Fitness 3900 Treadmill is advertised as a machine that could handle the intense workouts of athletes. With its powerful 3.0 CHP motor, the machine does allow for rigorous training. However, this treadmill probably will not last for a long time if it is often used for this kind of training. It is of good—but not superb—quality. You can definitely get more for your money if you buy a cheaper treadmill with the same features as this.
Is This the Right Treadmill for You?
Regardless if you are a beginner or a serious runner, the IM Fitness 3900 probably would not be the right treadmill for you. Though it is not a badly made exercise equipment, it is not a good investment either. There are other treadmills out there, specifically those made by more established brands, that offers the same features and more for less than the 3900′s price. The IM Fitness 3900 is not a popular treadmill (a few people know about this product), and for good reason.
What are Its Features?
The IM Fitness 3900 Treadmill is powered by a 3.0 CHP motor, which allows users to walk or run to a maximum incline of 15%. Its console has an LCD display with blue backlight, and that which shows the user important motivational feedback such as speed, incline, distance, time elapsed, calories and heart rate. The IM Fitness 3900 also boasts key heart rate functions: the treadmill has 2 heart rate programs, an EKG grip pulse and a wireless chest strap. In addition to the 2 heart rate programs, the 3900 has 7 more: 5 are pre-set while 2 are user-customized. The solid club design frame delivers durability while its 20-inch tread belt offers comfort.
What are Its Weaknesses?
It is rather rare to find IM Fitness 3900 Treadmill reviews from people in Canada or elsewhere, but the few reviews to be found point out a number of problems with the machine. First of all, the width of the belt is not enough. 20 inches may be comfortable for some, but not all. Then, there is the lack of a shock absorption system. It makes anyone wonder what will cushion the impact on knees and ankles, among others, when the treadmill is used. This treadmill also does not have a maximum speed.
Moreover, the retail price of the IM Fitness 3900 is steep considering the included features (or the lack thereof). Our best buy treadmill has more and better features, not to mention better warranty, and you can get that for more than a hundred dollars less than the 3900.
Is This Worth Recommending?
We do not recommend the IM Fitness 3900 Treadmill There are many other less expensive treadmills out there, like our best buy pick, which has the aforementioned features and more.
